Day 3 Review
What an amazing 3 days we have had so far!
It was so great to be able to watch our Kids Club (VBS) team run their program yesterday! They did awesome! About 60-70 kids have come for the last 2 days and it just keeps getting bigger and better!
We also got SOAKED yesterday! We were on our way to a local park to play some football (soccer) and to invite students out to our evening youth drop in center. It was amazing to see our kids smiling and being positive even while being wet, cold, and far from our ‘home base’.
Sometimes we take for granted all the things we have in life and all the people who deeply love us (like our parents). Over the last 24 hours we’ve been reminded how much our parents and God loves us. As we were coming in soaked from being outside those 60-70 kids were trying to figure out how they were going to get home.
9 year olds were taking care of 5 year olds.
Kids walking home in the pouring rain, with no idea if their parents are home.
Something’s in life, like this, pull at your heart deeply.
No 5 year old needs to be out of the street by themselves.
No 9 year old needs to be responsible for his 5 year old brother.
It’s gotta change!
May we be the change!

“Sometimes we take for granted all the things we have in life and all the people who deeply love us (like our parents). ” I’m pretty sure this works both way – Sometimes we (parents) take for granted all the things we have in life and all the people who deeply love us (like our children)! Those may well have been the same rain drops that drenched our area Tuesday and Wednesday! It would be nice to see group pics of each of the ministry teams – even one of them drenched from yesterday! Onward Christian Soldiers. . . . . . . making mission memories that will last a life time! Doesn’t get much better than that!
These children have seen the love of God that is why they can give love to their younger brothers and sisters. keep loving them up into the hands of God. May they each come to a fuller understanding of their Abba Father who is always with them and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Your work, each smile, kind word , action in Christ Jesus will be forever written on their hearts and yours.
“God always does what is right. He will not forget the work you did to help the Christians and the work you are still doing to help them. this shows your love for Christ.”Hebrews 6:10
“Keep yourselves in the love of God. Wait for life that lasts forever through the loving-kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jude 21
AWESOME! What a difference all of you are making in the lives of these children. Godspeed and safe travels.
You are so right about the children and with God giving you all the words and tools to use things will change one step at a time…… I always say you have to crawl before you walk, walk before you run!!! Every day I am on here looking forward to new pictures and the little ones just grab your heart and you wish you could just scoop them up and take care of them but we have to trust in God and awesome people that he works through. Keep up the great work guys — proud of all of you!!! P.S. Enjoy those rain drops — it’s God’s shower!!
Hi Gang,
Last night while leaving the Church after The Seeds Of Hope Meeting; I saw a lovely Rainbow. Gods Promise!!! He promises us much, and you beautiful young Christians are planting Seeds of Hope a world away!!! The rainbow was Miss Faith’s first rainbow. How fitting it was to receive it at our Church, at Seeds of Hope, and while our children are planting The Lords Seeds a world away. I feel blessed to have been with Faith for her first Rainbow. Several of us were there with her to witness to her about Gods Promise and the Biblical history of The first Rainbow. Whether our children here at home, or our children half way around the world, I know The Lord asks us to sow His seeds, but it is His job to Harvest these seeds as He see’s fit. We never know how He will use those seeds, He may use them to effect our own generations or several to come. Bless The Lord oh my soul; God is with you Children of God. He has made you fishers of men!
Peace,
Susie
Hello Alexandra,
I miss you, love you and I am so very proud of you and all of the team. I’m sorry I missed your call, I got your voicemail; it was so wonderful to hear your sweet, sweet voice! I promise to answer your next call.
Maybe you guys have been able to see an Irish rainbow. Don’t expect any Leprecons, but there is indeed a golden treasure: Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Hope to hear from you real soon.
Love you forever,
Mom
