About the Author

Hey there, thanks for stopping by.

My name is Kevin Mattison. I am a youth pastor at First United Methodist Church in Butler,Pa.I have been privileged to serve as a youth pastor in NH, help plant a church in inner city Detroit, and now leading a youth ministry here in Western Pennsylvania. I am not a genius, do not have a P.H.D., and will not buy black wire framed glasses.

I’m a missional, emerging, orthodox, pentecostal, methodist, with tendencies to rebel and to conform, little training, great expectations, dreamer, failure, liar, fundamental, liberal, democrat, republican, independent…but really I should just be a Christian.

I love spending time with my wife and my daughter, reading, drinking coffee, and playing the guitar…in that order. I am passionate about empowering students to become fully devoted Christ-followers in their culture. I believe in cell phones, PDA’s, and communication devices…

Ok dude, I feel you; others are thinking that you are not in touch with your feelings, or disconnecting. Unfortunately, I think that those of great faith sometimes appear appathetic to the current circumstance. I however, have got your back in prayer and battle. Relax, trust God, and let his spirit of comfort and instruction do His work.

    I love you more…
